Private Attorney Involvement
Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) is an essential resource and service to help SCLS provide equal access to justice.
When an attorney chooses to participate in PAI, SCLS provides important resources to help with the case. Attorneys from SCLS are available to help consult with PAI attorneys on their cases. SCLS also has an extensive collection of resources including online classrooms, video resources, and more that can be utilized by PAI attorneys for their cases. Additionally, SCLS may pay for certain costs such as copies, postage, and other smaller costs and/or fees related to the client’s case.
Pay: $85/hr
Pro Bono Credit: Because representation through the PAI Program is provided at a substantially reduced rate, participating in the PAI program may count toward an attorney’s pro bono credit hours if reported to the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Program. https://www.scbar.org/lawyers/bar-programs/pro-bono-program/report-pro-bono-public-service-hours/
